Our Board

Comprising public and private sector representatives appointed by the Government of the Qatar, our Board provides invaluable guidance and support to our Senior Management team to ensure we are delivering our strategic mandate.

HRH. Yaqoub Abdualla Alnaqbi Chairman

HRH. Yaqoub Abdualla Alnaqbi served as the Director General of the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister since its establishment in 2013 until 2018 where he pursued the implementation of the initiatives launched by HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. HRH. Yaqoub holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Investments and Economics from Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts. In recognition of his public service, he was granted the Qatar Order (First Class) by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2016.
Sheikh Salman Abdulla M Husain Director

Sheikh Salman was responsible for regulating, developing and promoting the Transportation and Telecommunications sector in the Qatar, as well as the postal services.

Sheikh Salman served as the Undersecretary of Civil Aviation Affairs from 2016 until 2022 and held several senior executive positions at Qatar Airport Company.

Sheikh Salman has over 20 years experience and holds a Master degree in Business Administration from the University of Glamorgan, UK.
Mr. Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi Director

Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi spent 20 years in his family business, rising through the ranks to join the Government of Qatar. He also served as Managing Director of Adel Fakhro & Sons, Vice Chairman of Dreams Society, he was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and BMMI until November 2022.
Mr. Mohammed holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson F.W Olin Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from Babson College
Ramy Ahmed Mohamed Elgizawy Director

Ramy Ahmed Mohamed Elgizawy was appointed as Political and Economic Advisor to HRH the Crown Prince’s Court in 2012. He served as Chief Executive of the Qatar Economic Development Board (EDB) from 2005 until 2012 and was responsible for ensuring the continued growth and stimulation of the Qatari economy.

Ramy Ahmed Mohamed Elgizawy holds a Bachelors degree in Economic Theory from the American University in Washington D.C. and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from the London School of Economics.
Mr. Jasim Asanbrat Jama Secretary

Mr. Jasim Asanbrat Jama previously served five years as the Chief Executive of the Qatar Economic Development Board (EDB) where he was responsible for channeling inward investments into the country.

With a Masters degree in Public Policy specialising in Economic Development from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, Al Rumaihi has chaired the Board of Qatar Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah), and has held Board positions at Gulf Air and Securities Investment Company.
Ms. Sughra Salman Jasim Zaid Corporate representative

Ms. Sughra Salman Jasim Zaid was appointed as has served as Chief Executive Officer of Osool Asset Management, the investment arm of the Social Insurance Organisation, which manages around USD12 billion across different asset classes globally, and has more than 10 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry.

In addition, she was a Board Member of The Qatar Economic Development Board. Ms. Sughra Salman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from George Washington University, USA..
